In literacy, we have been using fakephonetext.com to create a conversation between two people. We have then translated this into a piece of fully punctuated dialogue.
Times Tables Rock Stars Red Carpet Event
This week, Annie and Liola attended the TTRS Red Carpet Event and represented our school. They were transported in style with their luxury car and took part in several heats against other schools. There were around 60 children taking part, all fighting for the top 4 players. We are proud to announce they were both absolutely amazing and Liola made it to the finals and won. Well done Liola.
14.06.17 Today we took part in a live workout with Joe Wicks, the Body Coach. We were one of many schools around the country including some pupils from countries from around the world who took part. Everyone had fun and enjoyed the workout.
In English we have been studying Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. As part of these studies we had a Frankenstein Art Competition, take a look at our amazing creations.
We have been practicing our shading in Art over the last few weeks. Look at the amazing results!
Having fun with Maths!
Starting with one sum (fact) on our spider's body we continued expanding the fact along each of the 8 spiders' legs, using multiplication and division as well as doubling the numbers from our sum to begin with.
Firstly we mapped out the bodies circulation, we then found out the job of the different blood cells and what they do to help our bodies.
After which we found out some amazing facts about our bodies such as a red blood cell can travel 12,000 miles in one day!!
We looked at pigs heart and compared it to a human heart.
In English we are looking at Myths and Legends. This week we have been looking at the legend 'The Mermaid of Zennor'. Using Minecraft on the ipads we created our own setting and retold the legend by recording the story over our settings.
