Sports Week 2017
We have been very active this week, enjoying the varied sporting activities on offer.
These have included learning how to play handball, our annual KS1 sports day afternoon and being put through our paces by our very own boot camp instructor, Mrs Butchers. With many more activities planned I expect, by Friday, you will have some very exhausted, worn out children!
For Red Nose Day 2017, a sea of red children attended the class for the day. I think you'll agree they all look fabulous in their red attire. Well done guys!
As always the children did themselves proud for World Book Day 2017. Everyone made an amazing effort at dressing up as their favourite book character. Can you guess who they are?
So, as we have entered February already its probably a little late to wish you all 'A Happy New Year'. We have been working very hard the last few weeks and time has flown by.
The children have been learning about the different way we can measure things and the units we use, in order to weigh items and check how long things are.
After several hectic weeks of Nativity rehearsals and Christmas preparations
the term is coming to a close. We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all
'A Very Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!'
Wow! What a Christmas party we had!
There was dancing, fancy gowns, games, eating, singing and fun to be had. All, I think you will agree, had an amazing fun filled afternoon.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Mrs Richard's and Mrs Wilson's class.
We have been making and decorating Christmas trees.
We have been looking at simple levers in our Design and Technology lessons. To help us understand how levers can be used we had fun making a dog wag it's tail.
Our class have been very fortunate in having the opportunity to take part in some cricket sessions, with the expert coach Alex. The children have had a great time learning new skills, such as batting, fielding and bowling. There may even be a few England Cricket Team stars of the future amongst the class!
Earlier in the term we were learning about India and learnt how fabrics can be decorated with traditional Indian designs. Designing our own template we printed a t-shirt with ink and here are the results.
